Can I set a variable when a container tab is selected?

I have a container with 3 tabs that display different options depending on which tab is selected. For one of the tabs I need to set a variable as soon as the tab is selected. Is that possible?

This is not currently possible. As far as I know, there is no way for us to add an action like setting a variable when a tab is selected on a container. Hopefully this gets added in future.

I don't know if it's possible with a macro, so maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

As for built in functionality, no, but there are ideas you can vote up for it (such as this one http://community.qlik.com/ideas/1545).
