Can I use the expression through the list box?

I use the under noted expression to crack down the cheque numbers which have been repeated more than once. Once I wrote this, it correctly pick the repeated cheque numbers but is there a way forward to get all these numbers together in the pivot table to which I have loaded the data. Also if the same name of the customers are repeated for the repeated cheque numbers such cases need to be flaged as "In order" how that could be done?

Thanks

Neville

A) Sum({<CHEQUE_NUMBER = {"=Count(TOTAL <CHEQUE_NUMBER> CHEQUE_NUMBER) > 1"}>} CHEQUE_NUMBER)

Hi,Vijay,

Please look at this data, some cheque numbers are repeated here & there some of them carry the same Name. What I want is through the formula to highlight them &  show them together in the pivot table. Also to give a flag or something for cases where repeated cheque numbers carry the same name. Also can I write the expression in a list box so that on a click of it data can be made appear in the pivot table.

Thanks

Neville

Hi Neville,

The screen shot helps little to understand but and excel data file and/or your QVW would have helped to help you faster. If you have concern about confidential data then you can mask or scramble data. Following link may help with that Preparing examples for Upload - Reduction and Data Scrambling

I'm trying to understand your need from the screen shot you have sent.

First two rows in the pivot table screen shot above is that what you are talking about? I've marked that with Red Vertical Bar.

Highlight them? Can you please show how it will look in screen shot/ excel table? "Show them together in Pivot table" meaning adding value and show in a single row or arrange them next to each other.

Vijay

HI,

VIjay,

Thanks a lot for your response!

To be very honest, the sample pivot table given  is for a small array of data. But there are a large number of data where there are possibly  a lot of repeated same cheque numbers here & there.I need to investigate any malpractices by using same cheque numbers by the users.

Now to further investigate on this I need to first select those cases right away (cheque numbers repeated more than once) & analyze. How I could pick only those records. In other words I need to excludes all other cases eg, cheque numbers which are repeated only once & what ever cash settlements.

Der Vijay,

Please suggest me how I could make appear only such cases(repeated more tan once) in the pivot table?

Also As you had highlighted those cases by using vertical lines etc, is there a way it can e done in qlik view, if so please tel my how?

Thanks

Neville.

I too need this to link with some other data which I will show you once this is cleared!

Hi Neville,

We will not be able to recreate data to help you with the solution. You will have to limit data while loading or extracting for sharing with us. You can mask data if you have confidentiality concern. We will not be able to load data using images you have been sharing. Please share either in excel, text file, or actual QVW with data.

I hope it clarifies what we are looking for.

Regards,

Vijay
