I regularly have a very strange problem: When putting some listboxes on a blank sheet to test my data, I can search in any one of them and I immediately see the matching values - I can actually see the one I'm looking for - but I cannot select it: I can hit >Enter< or just click on it - the listbox resets to showing all values.
I am not as queer as setting it to "read-only" and then trying to select or something - I have only just put it there, nothing else.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
What can that be? Could it be something not QlikView-related?
Turns out I had selected a value in another field - I deleted the listbox afterwards to try something else - and locked the selection. Strangely, a statusbox didn't show the selection, nor did the listbox of that field.
The thing is, I had renamed a date_field to link the table to my master_calendar. Now the data appeared wrong, so I undid that link by renaming the field again. It seems that in that process, that locked selection went into limbo as that kind of invisible little fellow we commonly know as a "pain in the ..."
There should definitely, along with all the other useful blogs and documents online here, be a collection of things not to do when working with QlikView.
