Can not open file created in trial version

Hi,

I have created one project in Qlikview Personal addition (Trial version) and saved it. Now when i open the same it is throwing me error that "The file was created by licensed qlikview user and can not be opened in personal eddition".

Please help.

Are you using the same user and computer to open the QlikView file?  Did you open QlikView files that you didn't create and select to recover them?

Yes. I am using the same user and computer. No. I am trying to open the same file which I have created in personal edition.

     The Error looks like the licensed user update the QVW file (Ex:That user could have the valid license key and loged in your machine ) . So make sure on this.

You can try with installing the QV again. But its hit and trial method.

Hello,

You can ask any Licensed user to login once using your PE QV desktop. Then you can open and save the file again.

This happened to me once before when I was using the Personal Edition. I fixed it by deleting the PRJ directory that was stored in the same location as my .QVW file. Navigate to your .QVW file in Windows Explorer and see if you have a PRJ folder. If you see that folder send it over to the ol' recycle bin.

This worked. I moved the qvw file out of the prj directory and then deleted the prj directory. Then, I was able to open my qvw's that I created with the personal edition.
