Can't open new files saved with QVPE 10

i used QVPE 9.0 several months ago.  Today, I upgraded to QVPE 10.0.  I understand that if you have used all four of your recoveries that you can't open the old file created wtih 9.0.  However, when i create a new file in QVPE 10 and save it, I still get the message that I have used all my recoveries when I try to open the file I just created with OVPE 10.  How do I save new files that I can open!!!

are you opening the file on sam machine......

In qvpe you can open th application in one machine only and the application must be also be build on that local machine only...

Hi,

First, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of QlikView 10 SR4 (Build 9274) that fixes a lot of issues and should allow you to open that file just fine, if you don't want to upgrade to QlikView 11.

If that doesn't work, then uninstall QlikView 9 and delete all registry keys with "qlikview" or "qliktech" in them. After that you should be able to install version 10 and open those files.

Thanks.  I thought about clearing the registry, but wasnt sure if searching for Qlikview or Qliktech would get them all.  I will give that a try and see what happens.  Thanks for your response.
