Hello All,
I created an connection to the database (SQL Server) and created a sheet in QlikView using one database. I saved the file by overwriting on the file. After I saved the file when I am re-opening it I can't see anything in the main Sheet, it is all blank. The size is around 128KB, which means the file is not blank.
Can anyone tell me why can't i see the details of the file and how can I resolve it?
I saved the file in QVW mode and I use QlikView Personal Edition.
A qvw file contains a lot of stuff over and above the data. If the document has no data, there will still be content in the file - sheets, sheet objects, metadata, load script, etc. This could easily be 128K.
If you want to confirm that, upload your file. Anyone with a license will be able to read the file, even though you created it in PE..
reload the application then only it will reflect the database wat u hve....
hope this helps you.
Hi Sumit,
Were you able to see any sample data in Table View? if not just reload and see whether rows are fetching or not..

Also use the table viewer to check the physical content. In QV desktop press Ctrl-T
Hi Jonathan,
I get your point about the data. Let me use the process you suggested.
Thank you.
HI Sreeni,
Let me try that.
HI Sreeni,
I don't see any data in table view. there is nothing to reload as the file is mostly empty. Even the main sheet is blank. May be I didn't save it properly.
Thank you very much for your solution.
