Can we change colours in guage charts dependent on dimension value?

I have a need to prepare reports for an organisation based on survey results, and I need to be able to generate an average result across the results - which is why I have used a linear gauge chart (see attached).

What I would like to be able to do is to change the colour of the chart based on the different dimension value e.g. Area i.e. Blue for Board, Green for CEO etc.

I have tried an "if" statement in the segment colour calculation box, but it does not give me any joy.

Any ideas?
