Hi Guys,
Is that possible to index a column/field in .QVD files?
If yes please let me know how?
If you mean 'Index' in the way to improve performance ...no, there is no concept like this in QlikView.
You would rather use techniques like e.g. using a (sequential) numeric field instead of (long) strings by using AutoNumber() -especially for keys. Or you would rather sum up a counter of 1 and 0 instead of counting values in a field.
Hi,
There is no concept of Index in QVDs, but what you can do is you can sort the data before storing in QVD in your required manner so that you don't need to do the ORDER BY in script again, this will load faster.

Jagan.
if your QVD loads taking long time, see if you can optimized QVD load.

In many respects the way all field values are de-duplicated and has a symbol table per field all fields are indexed already in QVDs.
