Can you send a link to a qlikview page?

Hello

Is it at all possible in Qlikview 11 to be in a dashboard on the access point and send someone a link to the particular page?

Kind Regards

Helen

Yes, but only trough a vbscript Macro that sends an email with an URL saved in a Variable.

Do you mean link of a particular chart of the dashboard or link of that dashboard itself. May I ask you to provide few details around your question pls.

Yes that is done via Shared Session.

When you use shared session it creates a URL which you can share with other people to access the Dashboard.

Their session will be available as long as your session is valid.

Hi,

just to add to what Sudeep Mahapatra said, you have to enable Session Colaboration in Server:

System > QlikView Server > Documents > Allow Session Collaboration

then you have to go to Documents Tab > User documents > select the document you want to enable for session collaboration > Availability > and finally check Allow Session Collaboration,

Yes.  In the toolbar select More->Mail with Bookmark as Link. That will allow you to email a URL that is a bookmark that will take the receiver to the page you are on with the selections you have made.  Note security and licensing will still apply to the user who clicks on the link and they can click on it at anytime.

The other option would be to use Shared Sessions.  This is essentially inviting someone to view (and interact) with your session.  The would be piggy backing on your session so your security and licensing would apply.  This is a more 'share real time' feature vs emailing a bookmark which allow the receiver to start their own session at anytime in the future.
