Cannot add new document in qlikview

only thing I did different was I tried installing nPRINTING that failed due to cmpatibility issues. Since then I am not able to add any new document and top design menu is gone.

You can solve the problem by following these steps if you are running Windows XP:

  • start -> run -> regedit
  • open the following key: hkey_current_user\software\qliktech\qlikview\toolbar 7\
  • inside this key you will find this key: State-Bar0
  • you will find the parameter: Visible which should be set to 0
  • delete the Visible parameter

You can solve the problem by following these steps if you are running Windows Vista:

  • Click on start and type "run" into the search text box at the bottom of the window and hit enter
  • Click on Run at the top of the search results
  • Type regedit into the text box that opens when you click on run
  • open the following key: hkey_current_user\software\qliktech\qlikview\toolbar 7\
  • inside this key you will find this key: State-Bar0
  • you will find the parameter: Visible which should be set to 0
  • delete the Visible parameter
