Cannot clear selected value

I have a year value that I cannot remove as a selection.  I had this field set as (always one selected value).  I changed that setting and I have confirmed there are no triggers set on this field.  Yet, the field is still active and will not clear using clear button.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are no selections in year that I can see, my guess is that this has to do with section access. In the document properties\Opening tab remove the initial data reduction checkmark and save a copy of the document. Close qlikview and reopen that copy, if there are now more than one year possible then this has to do with section access reducing data

There could be a trigger on anything else that selects in this field.

Can you upload the app?

Hi Gerald,

Do also check sheet triggers also. Sometimes it might happen like, by activating sheet a select in field trigger can be placed.

Hope it helps.

May be one of this...

1) you have locked any field

2) you have Always one value selected for any list box

3) go to Selections tab and select set clear state

Hey Michael.  I thought I checked them all, but maybe I did miss something.  Fairly new to Qlik so it's possible.

Gerald, there are two problems with your document.

First, it is huge.  It would be nice to upload a smaller version.

Anyway, I downloaded it - but cannot open.  It requires user/password.

Michael,

Thanks again for the assistance. I’m really new to the tool so I’m not sure how to really reduce the size without removing information that may be useful to you. I’m not sure why the document would be asking for credentials, but can you try admin/1 as the credentials?

If you create a new list box with same Year field, do you still see the same behavior? If Yes, then a Sheet trigger or Docment trigger involved.

Angad,

Thanks for the tip. I created a new list box with that field and it indeed has the same behavior. I am perplexed since I have checked the triggers section for every single sheet within this document and there are no triggers created at all. I also double checked the “Always One Selected Value” and it is not checked. Any additional thoughts?

Gerald,

I don't see any year selected in the Current Selections box. But, I think the year may be influenced by one of your variables. Please check Variable Overview to see if the year field in question is being assigned a value in an incorrect manner.
