Cannot clear selected value

I have a year value that I cannot remove as a selection.  I had this field set as (always one selected value).  I changed that setting and I have confirmed there are no triggers set on this field.  Yet, the field is still active and will not clear using clear button.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, I can open your app.

Don't see selections in the Year field.  There are selections in a couple other fields, but they have "always one selected" checked.

What field are you talking about? I don't see any selections on the year field.

Thanks John. That’s the issue. I don’t see the value selected or a trigger set, but when myself and the users login the value is set and unlock & clear does not work.

Bill,

It’s the Year field on the RezFan Tab. I don’t show it selected either, but when we login it’s selected and won’t clear. Very strange.

There are no selections in year that I can see, my guess is that this has to do with section access. In the document properties\Opening tab remove the initial data reduction checkmark and save a copy of the document. Close qlikview and reopen that copy, if there are now more than one year possible then this has to do with section access reducing data

Piet,

That worked. When I login the value is cleared in the newly saved version. Thanks to all for the advice and assistance.

Hi,

When you say you login are you talking about in the accesspoint?

Hi,

You need to check your section access to see what might be causing the field to be checked. There maybe an issue with SA and you are not getting all the data on the reloads.

Ok great, since we did not see any 'selection' (in fact it was just one possible value) with the admin account, I'm guessing you used a different account. Since section access is applied, your are working (and maybe saving) a reduced set of the data. Log in as Admin and do a reload as last action before a save.

Also if this has solved your problem could you close this thread by marking one of the answers correct? It may also be nice to mark some of the answers helpful if you thought they were. It will help others find solutions to similar problems and lets contributing members know this requires no more attention.
