Cannot edit Symbol in straight/pivot tables

I am facing this issue in Qlikview 11. I am not able to add/edit the symbol in the Number Format properties of straight table. Is anyone else facing the same issue ? Is there any setting that I need to change to be able to edit the symbol ?
