Character Sets

Hi Qlikers!

I’ve been ask by my client what set of characters I’m using (QlikView uses) when I export via

STORE table INTO table.txt (txt, delimiter is '|');

Can anybody help me with that?

Is that Unicode – UTF 8, 16?

I’d like somebody to tell me more about sets of characters in QlikView and how can I control and decide which one to use and which one to export.

Thanks a lot.

.. and how can I control and decide which one to use and which one to export.

The short answer is that you cannot control what character set to export - the STORE to text produces UTF-8 and only UTF-8. The only controllable parameter of the STORE is the delimiter.

Thank you everybody who has answered.

I believe Jonathan's is the correct cause he says the set and if it is contollable or it is possible to decide about it.

Thanks about that Jonathan, and thank you everybody.

FYI it's all in the help file - If you look up the entry for STORE it'll tell you all you need to know!
