Chess in QlikView

Hi QV Experts,

Being recently a bit addicted to casual chess, I was wondering if we could create a PGN Viewer + a Chess Database viewer in QlikView.

Would like your thoughts on this one. I am already starting on this one, but would appreciate if you share your thoughts on this one.

Few conditions that I think of:

1. The app shouldn't store Images for all the positions, but should be able to render it.

2. For a PGN File, using a slider you should be able to browse it move by move.

3. Displays the stats as done in normal chess databases ( Not sure where to get the database from, you might be able to suggest the URL )

I´ve been working in something like this.

Instead of Images I used the chr() function for the pieces:

I´m studing about chess notation now to think about the aplication structure!

Hi there,

I was asked about application in QlikView which will be able to analyse chess game. I saw application prepared by Fernando but I'm looking for something more. Does anyone have QV apps connected somehow with chess and could share them with us?
