Hello,

I want to know when should I clone an object or just copy and paste it (generating a new one).

Thanks

Hi,

If your using same filter(Listbox) in all sheets then create filters in any one sheet and you can clone the objects for other sheets.

Ok, that worked great... but if I don't want to clone a filter but a chart? Is that useful?

Hi,

Ya that also useful if you used the same chart in multiple sheets.

I'm running QV 11. And what's the difference between "clone" and "link object"?

When do I have to use each?

Hi,

Clone object is same as recreating the object manually with same as another object.

Link object has the reference of the another object.Changes made in one object reflects in another. It shares same object id.
