Combo chart with values on line and two dimensions

Hi,

i have a problem with my combo chart which is showing different status of offers before and after a fair. I have two dimensions - name of the fair and the aggregated created date of the quote (before and after fair). My problem is that the line, which must display the values (number of quotes), is using the first dimension for the position of the values. But i want to use the second dimension - before and after. So that there is a value in each bar. Can anyone help me?

My view:

How it should look like:

Thanks for helping.

Theresa

Hi Theresa,

in the expression, you cold deactivate the line (only the line, not the entire expression) and enable the value on chart option.

At least, the values will be shown on top of the stacked bars, so the information will be visible.

Cheers,

Fabian

Seems like your line would have to use both dimensions in order to display right. I'm not sure how to do that. Why don't you try combining your dimension into one? Try something like this as your dimension:

=if(Quotes.CreatedOn<Event.ecx_Startdate,'Fair Trade ' & Event.No & ' before','Fair Trade ' & Event.No & ' after')

Then to get right sorting, sort by expression with Event. No, then also click Text and sort Z-A.

Hopefully this helps.

Hi,

In axes tab, take first two expressions as left bottom, and 3rd expression as right top and keep axes into 40%. Basically it is in 65% change it. Hope it helps you.

Hey jerem1234, thanks for your suggestion. Your right. I could do that. And looks like that this is the only way I could do it. But I thought that there would be a way to consider both dimensions, because it will display more clearly that there is one fair separeted into Quotes before the fair and after the fair. So when I do it the way you recommand the distance between the bars is always the same. So I lost my group of fairs.

But thanks a lot for your reply.
