Connect to Oracle database

Hello everyone,

I have zero knowledge about Oracle technology and now I am stuck. I would appreciate any kind of input.

Oracle base we are trying to connect is 11.2.0.3., we know SID and we have correct User and Password.

This is the error that is occurring. I have tried installing ODBC driver again, but I am not sure if it has been done correctly. Does anyone for example have some kind of instructions step by step how to make this work? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Luka,

You need to install Oracle Client in order to get the ODBC running. You can download that software from here (Oracle Database on Windows Downloads) and your IT team likely have it also. Make sure you download the correct version according to your computer architecture (32 bit or 64 bit). That installs all that is required to make a connection to Oracle works.
