Connection lost problem

Hi,

i have a case where i have a table loaded in my .qvw application with 35 million records and display this recors in a pivot charts (with simple expression Sum(x)).

The problem is whenn i try to access my app through the access point (server), the corresponding sheet with the pivot table and some listbox when getting active is very slowly and in most of the cases i get a connection lost message.

I verified the access directly on the server over the accesspoint, in this case the sheet is not rendering correctly and very slowly.

The strange case is that if i try to open the document locally with the QlikView Desktop version i have no such problems.

Where is the issue? Someone can give me a hint?

I exported the .mem statistics but not noticed something strange. Tried to acess the app with diff. users and get the same problem.

Best regards,

Patric

When you open your app, does it display all 35 million records in a pivot table?

If so I would recommend adding a calculation condition, don't show more than 10 000 rows of data for instance.

Ok it was my suggestion too.

Just i wonder why on my QlikView desktop version it opens whitout any problems and when i try to access the app via AJAX it is so slowly. What is the difference? I do not think it is about CPU or RAM issues

It is a standalone table, not connected to other tables in the datamodel.

It has to send all data over the network and then render it in Ajax. Big difference.

xHi Jerry,

many thanks for ur answers.

I put down a possible optimization Schema for my Partner to help to optimizise the RAM consumption from the previous model. Do you think it can help to approach it in this way?

Patric
