Stop all services.

Rename the Distribution Service folder in  C:\ProgramData.

Then restart services in the order

"Qlikview Directory Service Connector"

"QlikView Distribution Service"

"QlikView Management Service"

"QlikView Server"

"QlikView WebServer"

Make sure the user that is running the services is...

- Local Administrator

- Part of the QlikView Administrator group

Please note:

If you just created the user that is running the services and your did not log off (or restart your server) yet, the Local Admin rights have not taken place yet, so be sure to log-off / restart your server.

The order in which you start services should have no influence as all services can run independent of each other.

I have never heard of the need to rename the folder name. Please explain why this would be needed / what that changes.

I did this recently and it worked. Multiple users have done this to solve the issue quickly.

What would be your suggestion if not this?

I tried this and it does not work for all.

It could be a solution but is not a for all.

The answer below.

Still curious why your suggestion would solve the problem. What is wrong with the (default) location of install (as I never had problems with that, but of course only have installed on clean environments)?
