I have a Straight table that contains a column with multiple text values in it. How can I create a filter that searches those text values for keywords and returns all rows that contain that keyword?
In this example I would want to be able to filter on 'Forecast' in a listbox format and return all rows with 'Forecast to Realized', 'Opportunity to Forecast', etc. as well as just 'Forecast'. I looked on the Presentation tab and the 'Searchable' option is grayed out for this column. I would want to create this option for all of these Report Categories (Identified, Opportunity, etc.). Suggestions please?!
If you click on dropdown in the label and type
*forecast*
then enter
do you get the
'Forecast to Realized', 'Opportunity to Forecast', etc. as well as just 'Forecast'
rows?
Why yes it does, thank you Massimo! I didn't know you could just start typing. I can certainly use this as a fallback but as it is not intuitive, is there a way to set this search feature up to connect to pre-defined search words in a listbox (as shown below)? Then the user can just click their choice and get the same outcome.
if I understand, an idea in the attachment
But what you what you have defined as counterintuitive is the natural way to search (filter) in Qlik
