Creating Link in Straight Table

Hi all,

i have a straight table....Order Number is one dimension...if click on any value of Order Number...it should open www.google.com Link

how to implement it.can any one help me.

The link should go in the expression. So you can add do the following:

1) In your dimension select the button 'Advanced', then under Image Options select Representation as Image.

This will enable not to show anything so the value shows up in the expression.

2) Under expressions add 'Order Number' or what you used on your dimension.

add the '<url>www.google.com'   or whatever link you need and then under representation select Link.

3) Format your table so the "hidden" Dimension is small enough not to be confused with a field.

thanks for your reply..

i am bit confused with the 2nd point.i am using Order Number as my dimension.

when i click on any value of Order Number it should open the link.

can u please elaborate it.

For the link to work it has to be declared in the expression. If you have it in the Dimension it will only show the text, not the link. So as a workaround is to duplicate it in a sense. Meaning you include it as a dimension and as an expression.

Since you only want to show it once, the dimension will be hidden with step 1. And in Step 2 you will show the link in the expression as if it was the dimension.
