Hello all,
I'm pretty new to Qlikview and have just started to play around on the bar charts.
I am currently creating a combo chart that shows the basics of Revenue, Cost and the margin. currently I have 2 bars 1. Revenue, 2. Cost and the margin is a line, but what I am trying to do with no luck is show a chosen month and the year to date figure on the same chart.
So I would have:
1) Stacked Revenue bar Month/Year to date.
2) Stacked Cost bar Month/Year to date.
Then I have 2 different lines for the margins
I have created 6 different expressions Revenue, Cost and Margin by both Month and Year, these are against a Project dimension.
Currently I can only manage to either group or stack all the expressions together, I sure this is something simple which I am just missing.
Kind Regards
Darren
Could you provide an example?
http://community.qlik.com/message/319922#319922 is this what you are looking at.?
Hi,
Just to provide a little more detail to this:
As an example:
Revenue Month | Revenue Ytd | Cost Month | Cost Ytd | Month Margin | YTD Margin | |
Project 1 | 200 | 1200 | 150 | 825 | 25.00 | 31.25 |
Project 2 | 600 | 1500 | 550 | 1700 | 8.33 | -13.33 |
Project 3 | 400 | 3000 | 215 | 1625 | 46.25 | 45.83 |
I have 3 projects these are set as my Dimension (Projects)
and currently I have 6 expressions one for each column:
1) Revenue Month
2) Revenue YTD
3) Cost Month
4) Cost YTD
5) Margin Month
6) Margin YTD
What I would like to see is:
Bar 1) Revenue Month & Revenue YTD (Two Different colours)
Bar 2) Cost Month & Cost YTD (Two Different colours)
Line 1) Margin Month (These are working fine)
Line 2) Margin YTD (These are working fine)
The bars need to be overlaided so the Revenue for Project one would read YTD 1200 (will be set to a high Transparency), then the Month would show inside as a solid colour)
I hope this makes sense
Thanks in advance
Darren
