Creating a list box using hidden value for field does not always work

I have a Qlikview Document with many sheets.  One one of the sheets,  I need to create a Current Selection object.

When I first created it,  it showed the current selections from All my sheets.  So I found out aboout the Hidden Key logic.

I used ~ as my  hidden key prefix.

So for many of the fields from other sheets that I did not want to see in this current selection box,   I created ~xxxx

using LOAD *, XXX as [~XXX];   line.

My problem is for a couple of my list boxes that I want to use this method on,  when I change the field name from YYYY to ~YYYY,

the list box is no longer functioning.

I need some help trying to understand why this is happening.

Thanks in Advance.

I found a solution.   Each of the list boxes I was trying to use had select one value.

When I unclicked that field,  things started working.

As well,  I was able to go back in and set that field again  and things started working

Have you renamed the list box field name also?
