Hi,
I have a table like below (based on the current month):
Customer | Time | Cost | Invoice | Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|
John Smith Construction | Previous | 50 | 100 | 50 |
Current Month (Feb 2014) | 10 | 300 | 290 | |
New | 60 | 400 | 340 |
The new requirement is for another table that shows the cumulative figure by month (e.g. the "New" line above), like below:
Customer | Month | Cost | Invoice | Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|
John Smith Construction | Dec 2013 | 5 | 25 | 20 |
Jan 2014 | 50 | 100 | 50 | |
Feb 2014 | 60 | 400 | 340 |
The problem I'm having is when I add a month/year dimension, the balances are being restricted to that month and not the cumulative figures.
Not sure if I need a new month dimension which acts as a cumulative month e.g. when it says March, its really March and Prior.
Or if I need to structure the data in a different way...
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers,
Dean
Use Above function and add up with it
like Cost + Above(Cost)
Thanks,
Can I use above to also create a line chart of the data?
yes you can use.
