which type of scenario's using drill and cycle, any particular reason..

If you are creating an object (straight table, table, line graph etc) you want to give the end user information from multiple point of views.

For example Sales per Store, SalesPerson, Country, Productgroup etc.

This can be done be a Cyclic group or drill down.

If you use the drill down the different dimension should have a relations to each other like

Item Category > ProductGroup > Item
