Date/String Conversion

I have field in the QVD YearMonth and the format is YYYYMM. In the line chart I want to display this dimension as MON-YY.

What is the best possible way?

Assuming your field is a text field then try :

     date( date#([yourfield],'YYYYMM') ,'MMM-YY')
