Drill Downs and Alternate States

Hi everyone!

My team and I have encountered this a couple times, and we're wondering if anyone has figured out why/how to get around the fact that Drill Downs don't work in Alternate States - even if they work fine in an inherited state.

For example, I have a chart that shows Revenue by Month-Year. When you select a Month-Year I want it to drill down to Date.

In an Inherited State, this works fine, but as soon as I move it to an alternate it no longer works.

Any advice?

Maybe this could be a work around:

So basically, this is a feature not a bug in Qlikview because they see alternate states in the same way they see Detached.

Fun.

Thank you though for finding that!

I think this view was the personal view of a community member, not the official Qlik view. There are some differences between detached and alternate states (basically, the alternate state calculations do consider state changes, just not the default state's one). Personally, I think that's rather a flaw than a feature.
