Dear All,
I have designed 'Line Chart" to implement the Drill-Down option for the Year-Quarter-month.
I am getting "No data to display" message when I selected year 2010 in Line chart (even though there are 124 records for the year 2010). Even I am getting same problem when I select other combinations (year wise and quarter wise).
Could anybody take a look in my demo application (QlikView version 9.0.) and solve my problem?
I am sorry to say that, the data is loaded from my test application and has junk data. 😞
Thanks in advance.
Hello again,
I created some new objects to verify your post. I am assured the values are correct. So tell me, what value do you expect when you select 2010 for the count ?
RR
Hi,
I forgot to mention: You should rename your dimension. Don't use the "&" in the name, it is a reserved word for concatenating strings. For easy going I would only use charactors and "_" (underscore).

Hi Roland,
Once again thanks a lot for your support.
When I select the Year 2010, I would expect the data for quadrants Q1, Q3 and Q4 with the values of 1, 9,114.
But, the chart shows me with Quadrant Q3 with value 2. This data belongs to the Year 2002. 😞
I don't know whether the same funny behavior is appearing on your screen. I am using QlikView version 9.0.
Hello again,
very strange. I send you an image of my latest app (posted above). I selected YEAR=2010 and you can see the results for your own. How funny, that I have to send you an image to show the results ?!?!
But if you are still using 9.0 you should upgrade in any case. I am currently using 9SR6. It seems to be a very stable and bugfree version. In my opinion it is too early to upgrade to V10. I am personally waiting for V10SR1.

Hi Roland,
Thanks a lot for your support. Soon, I am going to upgrade V10. So, I hope my problem will not come. 🙂
Roland,
Thanks for your input. Do you have any idea of when SR1 for v10 will be available? In my experience at present, it just feels too early to go to v10 -- even QlikView people are giving me mixed messages about it.
Do you have any thoughts about upgrading to v10 since your last post?
Thanks! Tyler
Hello Tyler,
one of my colleque did download SR1 Yesterday. Today I added V10SR1 to SR06 in parallel on my laptop. Also we are using both QV-Servers in parallel for testing purposes.
If you are still Using 8,5 I would upgrade of course as soon as possible to 9SR6. How to do this depends on your infrastructure of your site ie. how many apps, (load-)tasks and so on. A good plan (including fallbacks) is essential. Second step is upgrading to V10. My oppinion is, if it is not necessary for some reasons, to do the upgrade in two seperate steps. With a time-period between them (for validating etc.). As a QT-Partner I say: don't hesitate to ask your local dealer for assistance.
Regards, Roland
