The version of QV desktop is 12 with enterprise edition license. When connecting ODBC from script editor, it results in TNS timeout error.
The Oracle 11 g Home1 edition client and drivers are installed. TNS entries are made correctly, system DSN is created and the connection is successful. But, when trying to connect form qv script editor results in TNS time out error and application hangs.
Troubleshoot that i've done is -
1. Verified the TNS entries in the tns.ora file located in oracle client installed drive... network\admin\
2. Verified the sqlnet entries in the client installed drive... network\admin\
3. Reinstalled the qlikview personal edition and licence edition as well.
4. Able to telnet the DB server IP id and host as well where in target host is available and is listening successfully.
5. Able to successfully ping the DB server IP id as well.
Appreciate any response soon.
Pls, note i am successfully able to connect to hadoop with Impala drivers v2.5, but can't get thru Oracle connection.
