Fact Table

I have following tables as follows

Table 1                         Table 2

Date                              Date

Dept                              Dept

Class                             Class

Ref_No                          Ref_No

Sales Code                    Unit_Code

Sales Amount                Expenses Amount

Master Table 1               Master Table 2

Dept                              Sales code

Dept Name                     Sales Person

I have concatenated the two fact tables and connected the master tables as well. But I am unable to create a pivot table to show following results

Sales Person    Sales Amount     Expenses Amount

OK                      OK                  Shows Zero values.

Pls some one help me to sort out above matter

Sure, because your Sales code does not link into your expenses records. How do you want to link them? Is Unit_code somehow related to Sales code?

you can attach the file?

Instead of concatenating, maybe joining them would solve your problem

That's almost impossible to say without knowing your data (model). We can just guess.

Maybe joining the fact tables would be appropriate, maybe not, how are we supposed to know that?

If you want to create a table grouped by sales person, you can calculate a sales amount per sales person following the link via sales code into the fact records, but how do you wan to calculate an expense amount per sales person?

If you can't answer that, you need to find someone in your organization that can answer that question.

I did this example, I hope you serve
