I have inherited a Qlikview document with loads of tables and columns.
I can view the tables in the 'Table Viewer' screen that shows how all the tables link to each other but is a way to identify the field type in of a given column the same way as you would for in Crystal Reports ( string, decimal, date etc )?.
Please see this link, a Tool from Steve Dark.

It's a great Tool to show the in depth information of your data.
In general, you can add this tool as a Sheet in your App. It will give you a good information around your data.
Hi,
Once the script is finished, you can see the type of fields in Settings -> Document Properties -> Tables
Thanks,

There are two types - numeric and string. QlikView holds all loaded data as both types, simultaneously.

That's interesting. There are however some fields with no 'Tags' entry. Does the empty 'Tags' value indicate something?
WOW. This is rather good. Thanks.
Very useful thanks.
