I want to set up some validation so that depending on the user login a certain directorate will be selected.
I dont want to totally exclude the other data ie as per a security setting but just have the direcrotate filtered to give them a helping hand.
I understand this might be a complex process so can someone point me in the right direction of where to get started, perhaps how you can add a custom filter on?
This is fairly standard section access operation with data reduction, but instead of selecting Initial Data Reduction, choose Initial Selection Based on Section Access (on the Document {Properties | Opening tab).
Search on this site for section access and data reduction for more details. It is also explained in the reference manual.
