Fit Zoom to Window in Webview

Hi all,

In Qlikview Desktop, we Have an option in View => Fit Zoom to Window.

This resize the qlikview objects according to the screen size.

But When I turn on the web-view, this functionality doesn't work.

Is there any other way to make it work in web-view also.

Regards,

Anjali Gupta

No, because you're dealing with HTML which doesn't support zoomingin/out. Your browser however will support scaling and zooming, although different browsers may support it in different ways.

One of the possible solutions we discussed a while ago is to try to add a function (called when loading a page or changing to a different sheet) in JavaScript that triggers this browser zooming. Anyway your AJAX client users can use the browser Zoom to obtain the same effect.

If this is a major issue for you, consider using Qlik Sense which offers better control over screen area and (automatic) object scaling.

Probably not the answer you want to hear.  But best practice would be to design the visualizations to the output format that you expect for your end users.   Everything we design is formatted in 1024 x 768 format.  We use containers often along with buttons to hide and show objects and sheets as necessary to save real estate.  We have apps with 25 sheets.  Unless you are using an HDMI output from your laptop, most overhead projectors default to 1024 x 768 output or less.
