Forecasting

Is there a (not too complicated) formula/syntax within a Data Load in Qlik Sense that can be used for forecasting? I have daily data on the number of telephone calls received and would like to project the number of calls for future days/weeks/month. I'm fairly new to Qlik so please be very basic with the explanations . Many thanks in advance...

Not that I know of. But you can get the AVG for a month or day or what ever. Forecasting is rarely easy because there is always a lot of factors that can change the outcome. But for simple non crtitical forecasting just use the AVG values.

Hi Simon, sorry, but can you explain better. You just want to show the number of calls that you may receive?

Hi Eduardo, that is correct. I have calls received per day for a number of weeks/months:

Sun 123

Mon 245

Tue 257

Wed 268

Thur 221

Fri 215

Sat 112

etc etc..

I want to use the actuals to predict how many calls I'll get per day for future weeks/months ...

You could use AVG(Number_of_Calls)
