Hey all,
is there a way in qlikview to have a usable base for an allways same looking report? I mean to have all your profit and loss account lines in pivot table shown, even if the result of this line is 0 or NULL?
Problem is here, that qlikview delete some of my lines after closing the application because there is no value and no link from imported journal or none of my accounts is linked to that line. Qlikview do not see a reason in keeping this line, because there is nothing to show there but I need it because I have to show it 🙂 !
For now i solved that problem in creating "dummy"-entrys for accounts and journal for the lines get missing. With that "dummys" my lines stay and a flag in combination with set analysis shows them all the time.
This can't be the sangrail. Have all that dummy-accounts and use set analysis in combination with "showthatline"-flag...
How do you get to your profit and loss account or balance of accounts?
I need to have locked formats for line-text... Some pictures should help understand...
Greets,
Jonas
I've created fully formatted reports like the one below, but i've simply set the blank lines as an interval match on numbers which will exist to create the line.
For example, the blank space below Revenue - Operating and the title itself is the sum of the Total Revenue (if there is any revenue, then it will need a header and a blank space before the section). I then simply 'white out' the numbers from displaying.
I've had issues with this when users wish to filter on account ranges and blanks showing/ not showing and losing formatting consistency. The best way to do it is to set a blank for the section above/ below it, which ever is more relevant.
Hi Matt,
Could you please attach the sample application, how you developed.

Ravi...
