GetCurrentField is not returning field name with space

Dear All,

I have a typical issue with the getcurrentfield function. I have a drill down group name mygroup. This mygroup has three field like [my field], [my field1], [my field2]. I am trying to get the active field name when selected from this group in a chart. I am writing like  = getcurrentfield(mygroup) but it is returning blank. It is working if I don't have space in the field name. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks so much

Hi @tiyasa125 , i made this video showing how it works for me, please let me know more details about your problem. I tested as drill-down type too , and it works fine too.

I assume you want to use this information as field within an aggr() or a TOTAL statement or similar. If so your query needs to return a valid fieldname which means that any spaces or special-chars require a wrapping of the fieldname. Therefore try it with:

[$(=getcurrentfield(mygroup))]
