Google Map API Key

Hi, I generated a google map API key to use in qlikview and I have shared with my friends. I am not sure whether is this free of cost or chargeable. And my email id is associated with pay pal account and other accounts. Is google going deduct amount without informing to me or how? I am bit concerned, can any please clarify on the same. As far as I know, the key is only chargeable if you got the API for Business.

The other API is free of charge. Of course, it has its limitations. But you do not have to worry if the API was the cost-free one.

How do I know that whether my API key is for Business or free? Thanks,

From Google:

To access the special features of Google Maps API for Business, you must provide a client ID when accessing any of the API libraries or services. When registering for Google Maps API for Business, you will receive this client ID from Google Enterprise Support. All client IDs begin with a gme- prefix.

This client ID is not a key. It will only work from URLs which you authorize so you don't need to worry about keeping it secret.

Your client ID is specified as the value of a client parameter when loading client-side APIs:

So if you didn't do this,or you have not a client ID, you have a non-business API key.

Hi,

from that same link, click on services, on the left side of the screen. Look for the Google Maps API v3. If it looks like this then it is free of charge:

Oops, I was able to use API key and now the same dashboard if I run I am just getting bubbles only no google map. How long this google API key works?? Thanks,
