Hi
I have a pivot table with Central and Direct set up as groupings for different methods for each area.
I have calculated the mix per group and added the Total section to the end of the pivot.
However I am wanting to have the mix on the total block split into Central and Direct mix as per the pivot table below
- however I am unable to figure this out in QV as it appears that as its a total I can only show the mix once as per the grouped sectins for Direct/Central
Please can anyone help with this.
Many Thanks
Jo
Type | Central | Direct | Total | |||||||
Measure | sales | qty | mix | sales | qty | mix | sales | qty | Central Mix | Direct Mix |
Total | 300 | 15 | 13.64% | 300 | 95 | 86.36% | 600 | 110 | 13.64% | 86.36% |
Area 1 | 100 | 5 | 50% | 200 | 5 | 50% | 300 | 10 | 50.00% | 50.00% |

That's correct. You can't do this in a pivot table. You could do it with a straight table. But that has the obvious disadvantage that you'll have to create more expressions since you can't use Type as a horizontal dimension.

Ok thankyou
Hi
I have decided to go with two pivot tables placed side by side in a container. One with the detail and the other with the totals - including the mix split. Thanks for your help and confirmation this cant be done
