Grouping Dates

Hi,
I'm new in QlikView.

I have a web file (excel) uploaded, there is a date field (DD/MM/YYYY) that I would like to group by Year,  and I would like to use this group in my pivot table and my chart.

Example:

DepartmentProject NumberProject Start DateYear (GroupingDate)
Sales10000108/01/20102010
Procurement10000210/01/20112011
Finance10000309/01/20112011
Finance10000403/01/20142014
Procurement10000501/01/20122012
Sales10000603/01/20112011
Sales10000706/01/20122012
Sales10000810/01/20112011
Procurement10000902/01/20132013
Finance10001005/01/20122012
Finance10001108/01/20122012

Do I need to create a calculated field?  Or a dimension ?
