I have one IP address of database and one database name with me .when i am try to set up ODBC connection through
qlikview it is giving me following error.
First you need to do some troubleshooting lik ,
Ping that ip from your co mand promt , if this working fine
then try to connect with SQL Server , if you are able to access database .
Then you need to check below URL , it will solve your problem.
1. Open SQL Server Configuration Manager.
2. In the left side select "Protocols For MSSQLServer" which is under "SQLServer Network Configuration". Check if TCP/IP is enabled. If not enable it.
3. In the left side select "Client Protocols" which is under "SQLNative Client 10.0 Configuration". Check if TCP/IP is enabled. If not enable it.
It seems to be a lack of the correct driver...
Try to create the connection using 32 bits and see if it works.
regards
Can you send me all parameters used to connecting by ODBC in order to analyse it?
