Massimo,Gysbert,KN,Shashi... it seems you guys aware of this connectivity problem. Have a look and advice what needs to be done...
Durga
help me in connectivity problem.
Have you tested your ODBC connection yet?
Thanks for response colomer.
we are using OLEDB connection. How to test it?
We are directly connecting from qlikview. Steps are follow.
giving database as OLEDB,
click on connect
providing the credentials.
it establishes the connection string in qlikview.
when we are reloading, we are getting that catastrophic failure error.
Thanks,
Durga
Hi,
while trying to connect the db to qlikview will have an option to test the connection.
Hi,
Check the below links.
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider
I just googled it and found the above topics. Hope this will solve your problem.
Hi Durga,
I have seen this issue before and I resolved it by ticking on the Force 32 bit option in the script. As well, make sure your drivers are 32 bit as well. See below screenshot
Everything on my machine is 64 bit, then how can i use force 32 bit option?
It is possible your connector are in 32 bits
