Help with linking multiple dates

Hi all,

i need help to create a calendar linking on multiple dates.

i have 2 fact tables that have been concatenated into 1. the first one (Data1) needs to link on an 'Date Invite Sent' field but the 2nd one (Data2) needs to link on an 'End Date' field.

what i want is for a user to select a date , lets say 'Year' = 2017.

then a chart to display the sum(Value) for data1 for 2017 based on Date Invite Sent and then another row showing the Sum(Value) for Data2 for 2017 based on EndDate.

i have attached an example.

for my example, the results i am looking for is the following..

YearDateTypeValue
2017Data139
2017Data210

any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sunny,

Will the link on RowNo work in my real data? i don't understand how we can link a date using the  RowNo..

sunny_talwar

I had to create RowNo because there was no unique identifier in the sample. If you have a unique identifier in your table... you don't really need RowNo....

No, the data is different, they contain some of the same fields, but there is no link between the data sets. so rowno could be used then in this case?

I believe so... give it a shot and see if it works or not
