Hi, Can any one please answer my doubts about master calendar and calendar object?

We have already a feature calender object in Qlikview. But what is the use of master calender creations?

What is the difference between these two?

Regards,

Deepthi

Raj,

A calender object is used to present the date from the calender means it requires field to be called in calender object.

While Master calender is the one which is created from a date field and contains all the entities of a calender like Week day .month etc.

For example there be sales date 01-03-2011 to 23-09-2013

Now the logic of master calender takes the mindate() and maxdate() and the the script creates the complete calender between the max date and min date.

My question is which is the best case to use calendar?

In calendar object also we have vFromdate and Vtodate and master calendar contains maxDate() and minDate().

In which cases we have go for these different calenders?
