Hide the chart help icon hover pop up

Hello

Is there a way to hide the "hover over " pop up on the chart Help icon ? My user does not want the hover pop up they only want the display of chart help when the ? is clicked... I have checked doc/user/chart attributes, unless I missed it I don't think there is a way.

Thanks

Paul

I'm not sure about that option. The workaround, you can create a small text with 'Question mark'  and place it in the top right corner of the chart. then, create the Action to show /hide the help text box (another text box)

Thanks for your reply, yes I know I could do that but I would prefer a more direct method than adding extra objects and triggers.

Hi Paul

We also have same requirement, but there is no direct way I'm afraid.

Hi Paul,

remove "Help Text" in chart properties, tab "Caption".

Hi Walter, thanks for your reply, but that is not what I want, the user still wants a help text but not the hover over pop up , they prefer the format of the window when they click the ? icon.

I'm concluding this is not do-able in QlikView.

You can't change it in properties. What you can do is remove it all together and instead use a text object with an image of the help icon place on the layer above the caption bar. You can then tie the text display to a conditional visibility variable which is triggered on a click action.
