How can I limit amount of data loaded to QV?

Hi,

Can I somehow limit the amount of data loaded into QV/memory?

For example break fact table into smaller QVD files and load them depending on YEAR. So when I open a report it contains only one year.

Then user clicks on another year and I unload existing year and load new year. Is it possible? How can I trigger reload without using hot keys?
