Hi everyone,
I feel a bit silly asking this, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere in these forums or QlikView's help.
How can I download a QlikView document from the QV server through the QlikView desktop client? (QV11 for Windows)
I know it's not an issue of document privileges, because I can download the document through QlikView Access Point just fine.
Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi
If you mean to download the file, then the previous post is correct. Right click on the thumbnail, download should be one of the options on the pop-up menu. However, the server administrator or document security might disallow downloads, so the menu option might not appear.
If you mean that you want to open the document on the server using the desktop client, then open the client and use the menu option File | Open in Server...

Hi Simo,
Normaly, on the access point, you should have a list with the action you want to do on the document like
open with Plug In
open with Ajax
download

Hi Simo,
This should be easy:
Open local QlikView installation. File > Open in Server > accespoint url > select user document.
Why do you want to open user documents localy?

Hi, and thank you for your answers. I take it that it is not possible to download a document through the desktop client, but only via the Access Point. This is good to know.
Some people may want to work during their long train commutes, for example.
Thanks again,
Simo
