How do you set a Alternate State for the entire Document?

Hello!

Can anybody tell me how I can set a specific state for my whole document in QlikView?

It can be done for sheets and objects but I am looking for the setting which lets me set the default state for the whole document!

I checked the Document Properties but could not see anything obvious!

Not sure why you want to set a specific state to the whole document, as already $ is doing exactly that. As alternate state already indicates in the name, it gives you the possibilities to declare and use additional states to $.

Are you passing bookmark values or trying to impement document chaining?
