maybe you must deactivate the Option Autowidth Segments to create more segment limitations

There´s no real limits, but I think that more than 7 or 8 are totally non-intuitive

There is NO limit.

You can make as many segments you want.. There is no limit...

The only limit is legibility and understanding of what you're trying to show.
