How to clear one list selection when other list value is selected

Hi All,

I have container having following named lists having their values.  How would I unclear / un-select values from a list

when I select any of the value from other list.I hope I am able to explain this. For example I select value 2014 from the list Year and chart data will display it ,Now I go to MonthYear list and select it's value Feb-2014 then Year list must be unchecked it's selected value that was 2014.

This can probably be done with Field triggers, but why?

Because If I go back to Year list from MonthYear list ,value still shows as selected in the Year list that creates confusion for user though they have retrieved data on the basis of MonthYear list value..

In the attached file QVW, an example of solving your problem, if I understood you correctly. Open the menu Settings->Document Properties->Triggers. In the window that appears, look at how field event triggers are set up

Instead of the example fields Dim, Dim1 and Dim2 use your fields

The default QlikView behavior for Back is to go back to the previous selection. Why would this be confusing for the user?
